Social, cultural, and historical dimensions of the Internet.

Application of basic principles of Digital Arts and Culture in business, organizational, educational, political, or other appropriate setting.

Prerequisites: 2.5 gpa; cons supervising faculty member.

Course Rules: One cr earned for academic work based on 40 hours in internship. Retakable to 6 cr max.

DAC 701 Digital Cultures Colloquium

1 cr. Graduate.

Engagement with readings, topics, and speakers in conjunction with the Center for 21st Century Studies, Digital Humanities Lab, or related programming. Students will attend events, participate in course discussions, and complete critical papers.

DAC 788 Digital Cultures Practicum

Practical experience with the production of digital culture within various topics. Examples include digital production and streaming of artistic and community-engaged media (including digital games and other media forms) and the production of digital archives.
